Influence of preparation process on coke briquettes and form coke compressive strength
We investigated preparation process of briquette by using starch and bentonite as binding materials. It also studied the impact of pulverized coal particle size, coking particle size, compacting pressure, moisture content on the strength of briquette and form coke. The result showed that coking coal particle size was the main influence factor. And the optimum conditions of molding process were as follows: low rank pulverized coal particle size was less than 0.6mm, coking coal particle size was less than 0.3mm, compacting pressure was 62KN, molding moisture content was 13%. Under the optimal conditions, compressive strength of briquette and form coke was 3470N/ball and 2910N/ball, respectively.
